A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of hosting Dan from New Origin
Brewing. Together we brewed up one of their fan Favorites, Phases on Stun. New Origin was one of our favorite breweries to visit before Hurricane Helene and we’re extremely excited to bring this beer back to share this juicy New Enlgland IPA with you.

GERMAN PILSNER……………………5.6% ABV ~ 36 IBU
Crisp and refreshing, our German Pilsner is brewed with local Cumberland Pilsner from Riverbend Malt House and hopped with Tettnag, a traditional German Noble hop. The result is a beer, light in golden color, with a grainy malt backbone, balanced hop bitterness and a clean, satisfying finish. Prost.

ALT2333 GERMAN AMBER LAGER…….. 5.4 ABV ~ 29 IBU
This Altbier highlights the beauty of simplicity and local malt. Crafted with local Riverbend malt, light Munich adds soft malt richness and subtle toast, while Cumberland Pils keeps it bright and approachable. Magnum and Perle hops add a subtle bitterness to balance things out. Balanced, elegant, and endlessly drinkable.

LEILANI DOUBLE HAZY IPA………………………8.5% ABV ~ 56 IBU
Made with Citra, Nectoron and Elani hops this velvety double hazy has a floral nose with notes of pineapple and mango. The bitterness, though pronounced, is harmoniously woven into the tapestry of tropical fruit flavors, leaving a refreshing, crisp finish that beckons for another sip.

PUBHOUSE PORTER............. 5.9% ABV ~ 31 IBU
A classic Porter made with English malts, this full bodied and smooth ale feels like all the coziness of an old British pub. Notes of chocolate and a light roasty finish makes this a comforting winter pint.

GRASSY ASS MEXICAN STYLE LAGER………………..4.2% ABV ~ IBU 13
BRISK ~ REVITALIZING ~ LIGHT
This lager is what you come to expect from a delicious Mexican Lager, clean and smooth. This lager is made with Hickory King Corn, Bloody Butcher corn and local malts to give it it’s unique flavor. The finish is clean with a light malt finish. Served with a lime.

AMERICAN PILSENER......4.8% ABV ~8 IBU
Brewed with local Carolina Malt House Pilsner malt, and American grown Super Saazer hops. This beer is a light and crispy crusher.

SWITCHBACK WEST COAST IPA………………………6.1% ABV ~ 65 IBU
Our take on a modern West coast IPA, this beer was brewed with locally grown malt from Riverbend Malt House and generously hopped with Idaho 7, Cascade and Vic Secret. The result is a clear and bitter brew with a bold piney citrusy aroma, perfect for hanging with friends or enjoying the sunshine.

BLACK MOUNTAIN IPA………………………… 6.5% ABV ~ 67 IBU
Originating in 2013, this is one of the first recipes made here at Lookout. With a strong malt backbone and beautiful amber color, this well balanced IPA ends with a resinous, bitter finish. Travel back to a time before hazy, juicy india pale ale’s were all the rage and enjoy a classic, west coast IPA made right here in Black Mountain.

NATIVE SUN PALE ALE……………… 5.5%ABV ~ IBU 36
BRIGHT ~ AUTHENTIC ~ AUSTRE
This refreshing pale greets you with a light citrus and crushed grape aroma. This classic pale ale made with Idaho Gem and Nelson Sauvin hops has a malty backbone and just the slightest bitter finish for a seriously well balanced beer.

SETO BAGH INDIAN LIGHT LAGER…………4.5% ABV ~ 15 IBU
Named after the rare white tiger, Seto Bagh is crisp, dry and fiercely refreshing. Brewed with Avalon pilsner malt, this ultra-light lager delivers clean flavor and a smooth finish- perfect for spicy food or sunny days.

GOLD HILL KOLSCH………………4.9% ABV ~ 26 IBU
This Kolsch comes in on the nose with pome fruit followed by a delightfully crisp flavor of straw and honeysuckle on the palate and a refreshing, dry finish. This light and clean beer is sure to be a summer favorite.

CZECH PILSNER……………………3.9% ABV ~ IBU 23
Staying true to tradition, our Czech Style Pilsner was brewed using Local Carolina and Cumberland Pilsner Malt with a healthy dose of Saaz hops. Golden straw in color, this Pils strikes the perfect balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness, with hints of earthy floral notes, and a crispy refreshing finish!

MOUNTAIN HOPSHINE IPA………………. 7% ABV ~ 61 IBU
JUICY~ VELVETY~DANK
Odds are the person next to you has this in their glass right now. In appearance, aroma, and flavor, this citrusy New England IPA more than speaks for itself.

TWISTED VINE SAISON…………………. 5.2%ABV ~ 21IBU
This classic take on a French farmhouse ale is refreshing and dry. Brewed and dry hopped with Nelson Savin hops, this Saison has notes of white wine grapes and lemon making it the perfect summer sipper.

One of the oldest recipes here at Lookout, this classic Golden ale eases you into the craft beer world. Made with all local Riverbend this light ale has hints of citrus and vanilla with a smooth and clean finish to quench anyone’s thirst.
